Parish Changes

The following appointments, to take effect on 1st January 2015, were recently announced:

Dom Matthew Carney will move from St Begh's, Whitehaven, and, following an eight-month sabbatical studying at the University of Santa Clara, Berkeley, California, will become Parish Priest of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Hereford, from 1st September 2015. During his sabbatical, the parish will be administered from Belmont.

Dom James Norris will move from the Merthyr Tydfil Group of Parishes to become Parish Priest of Our Lady and St Michael, Abergavenny, with St Mary and St Michael, Llanarth, both in Monmouthshire.

Dom Cenydd Marrison will move from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Hereford, to become Parish Priest of St Begh's, Whitehaven, Cumbria. He will retire as Dean of Herefordshire. Dom Richard Simons will move from Abergavenny and Llanarth to become Administrator of the Parish of St Begh's, Whitehaven, in the Diocese of Lancaster.

We thank the brethren for the magnificent work done in the parishes they leave behind, thank them for so willingly taking up these new appointments and pray that their new ministries will be both happy and fruitful.
